As the Coating Experts, we have always wanted to champion indoor safety and wellness for all children. Our mission was to empower all parents to give their children clean air to breathe, safe indoor environments and the freedom to be creative through every stage of their development from infanthood, to toddlerhood to childhood. Through this belief, Nippon Paint kidz was born.

“In a survey of more than 200 parents, 70% said that their children daily spend an average of 8-20 hours indoors*. But that’s where invisible dangers like bad air, chemicals and allergens lurk. In fact, there are germs on every surface – even seemingly harmless ones.”
Nippon Paint aims to empower today’s discerning parents towards creating uplifting environments for children, through various awareness and educational initiatives related to children’s health and wellness. This is done by focusing on three key growth stages of a child
INFANTS:
According to the American Academy of Family Physicians, babies under six weeks of age take in 30-60 breaths per minute (compared to 14-16 breaths per minute for adults). That is up to 86,400 breaths per day – three times the respiration rate of adults. Clean air is a priority as their respiratory tracks are more vulnerable, immune systems are weaker and brains are still developing.
TODDLERS:
As children develop stronger muscles to start crawling and subsequently rise to their feet, their sense of curiosity and exploration grows. As they crawl on the floor and learn to walk using the walls as support, they become more vulnerable to indoor surface pollutants. As such, it becomes a priority to ensure that they are protected from the dangers of bacteria, molds and viruses.
PRE-SCHOOLERS:
As children grow stronger and are able to walk, skip and jump, playtime becomes increasingly important for their emotional, mental and physical development. As kids are spending more time indoors today, creating an environment that nurtures a child’s creativity through playful indoors becomes more significant
