Vastucolour-Trending

Colors have the capacity to inspire our behavior, create illusions or simply set an atmosphere for a living area. For centuries, vastu colors for homes designed by the mystics create fortunate and beautiful homes that rouse abundance and prosperity.

NORTH-FACING

It is believed that home owners adhere to a certain set of colours according to the Vaastu Shastra. The northern colours include green or pista green shades but the rooms in the North-West direction can have white/cream while North-East facing walls must be sprayed with lighter blue tones. Green colour offers healing, harmony, and a good atmosphere and it is an auspicious color. It does not surprise us when this colour has been around on Indian walls for many years. There have always been hidden meanings behind the actions of our ancestors and we subconsciously tend to incorporate those same colors with a modern touch. Majority of the spaces in a home like the kid’s bedroom, guest bedroom and bathrooms are usually chosen to align in the northern direction. The rooms for children who grow up and go out for study purposes should always face the the north-west direction. It is believed to be governed by the moon, hence, spaces in this direction should be painted with white colour.

North-west is also the best direction for the bathroom, guest rooms and drawing rooms. Cream and light grey colours can be included in your homes as it represents the element of air. The planet mercury faces north-east and it is considered as the direction of God himself. It is conceived as powerful and the ideal place for a puja/prayer room. With this information, you can decide on the room and the colour palette that ensures your family’s well being.
