The budding Indian architects in recent days consider architecture as only structures, and they are more into one form of architectural practice i.e.) Modern architecture. So, to motivate and encourage the young architects, we at Nippon Paint have interviewed few of the top and renowned architects to provide a sense of knowledge on diverse architectural techniques to the youngsters who are longing to become an architect. The following are few tips given by those architects,

1. SHEILA SRI PRAKASH

SHEILA SRI PRAKASH

“On this journey, I discovered that the addition of value to the design is crucial. Even today, architecture is considered a very cosmetic and superfluous profession. But I believe that it’s very intrinsic and very deep”‘‘Sustainability with respect to the environment is something of key focus today”

“Being smart is not tech-savvy it is understanding that every choice you make has a repercussion and their impact on our health, community and the planet”

Sheila Sri Prakash wishes the young architects to be more focussed on constructing the architecture without compensating the health factors and to use the Zero-VOC paints.

2. SWANZAL KAK KAPOOR

SWANZAL KAK KAPOOR“Each of us come to this profession with unique nature, skills and values. Do not allow any situations to shift you from your uniqueness”
“Be passionate & responsible about what you do; we are in a special place of creating an environment for other people to inhabit”
“Our primary rule as creative people is to be original and creative”SWANZAL KAK KAPOOR suggests the budding architects to utilize the local resources and materials instead of preferring the foreign interior construction materials & also to be unique, creative and more responsible.

“The space we live, create and modulate our lifestyle.  We are fortunate that we create those lifestyles for people”

A R PERYANNAN suggests the young architects to prefer the vernacular style of architecture.

4. KHOSLA ASSOCIATES

‘’Design & build an institution focussing more in air circulation “
“Prefer designing the institutional windows on the north side to have the maximum diffuse light’’
Khosla associates ( Varun and Arun Khosla) wanted the budding architects to follow the ancient (ventilated) construction methods.

5. IDEA’S HUB

“An architect is like a family doctor who knows about the external and internal needs of an architecture”
Idea hub’s Rajan Tangri and Sukhwinder Singh wanted the budding architects to follow green architecture techniques and grid method, like the well-planned constructed city in the world- Chandigarh.

6. STUDIO DCODE (ANUPAMA)

“Accommodate ventilators on the top and on the northern side to avoid glaring and to allow natural lights into home”
